A witness recounted, "Everything transpired rapidly. It was a series of loud bangs," during an interview with Swedish channel TV4. Another individual mentioned that while he was preparing a meal at home, he heard "two loud noises resembling fireworks" from the street outside. He expressed to Swedish television his feelings of "surprise and fear," noting that shortly thereafter, "numerous police and ambulances" arrived, cordoning off the area and instructing bystanders to retreat. A significant operation is currently underway to locate the shooter, with a police helicopter participating in the search, as reported by police spokesman Magnus Jansson Klarin to TV4. Train services in the vicinity were temporarily halted to prevent the suspect from escaping via rail, although they have since resumed. In the meantime, Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer informed TV4 that a "brutal act of violence" had occurred. The identities of both the victims and the shooter remain unknown. However, there is growing alarm regarding the rise in shootings and gang-related incidents in Sweden in recent years, prompting the government to consider stricter gun control measures. In February, a tragic shooting at an adult education center in the town of Orebro resulted in the deaths of ten individuals.
